Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Software Engineer specialized in CAM applications with a passion for CNC machining and computational problem-solving. You will design CNC toolpath algorithms, build scalable software, and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technologists on innovative digital products.

The role blends engineering, software, and innovation in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid or remote work is acceptable, with preference for Seattle or Rock Hill locations.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, math, or general sciences.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in CAM domain products and technology.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, plus at least one other general-purpose language (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining and related processes.
  • Experience with multiple major 3D data categories (CAD/CAM, graphics, 3D scanning) and simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to automate and simulate CNC machining processes.
  • Develop high-performance algorithms for advanced manufacturing applications.
  • Create toolpath generation algorithms for CNC machines.
  • Deploy software across local and cloud systems.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product personnel on new digital products.
  • Write robust, well-documented code using Bitbucket, Jira, and related tools.
