Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Applications Engineer II for its NCSIMUL team. This highly technical, customer-facing role supports manufacturers in simulating, verifying, and optimizing CNC machining processes.

The ideal candidate brings CNC, CAM, and G-code proficiency, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Remote work with up to 30% travel across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with CAM programming and G-code verification.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturers implementing NCSIMUL software to simulate, verify, optimize, and validate CNC machining processes.
• Combine customer support, technical training, and application engineering to implement software solutions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and develop virtual CNC machines and optimize machining performance.
