Job summary

Adecco client seeks an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise in programming, process development, machine setup, and customer support for precision CNC machining solutions. You’ll work with CNC lathes and milling machines, including Citizen and Miyano equipment, traveling to customer sites to ensure successful integration and optimized production.

This role may be filled at Applications Engineer I, II, or Senior level, depending on experience and qualifications,

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience with CNC machines; Swiss screw machine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Part programming of CNC machines, process development, and customer training in a manufacturing environment
  • Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, machine assessment, and recommendations
  • Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Interpreting part prints, plans, and specifications
  • Create time studies and perform first part run off
  • Programming, setup, and training of Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills
  • Provide customer support via phone and travel to customer sites
  • Align and interface bar feed unit
  • Occasional travel required domestically, possible international
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise in programming, process development, machine setup, and customer support for precision CNC machining solutions. In this customer-facing role, you’ll partner with manufacturers throughout the sales and implementation process by conducting machine assessments, developing machining processes, performing first-part runoffs, and delivering hands‑on training. You’ll work extensively with CNC lathes and milling machines, including Citizen and Miyano equipment, while traveling to customer sites to ensure successful machine integration, optimize production processes, and provide ongoing technical support. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges and working directly with customers to improve machining performance.

This position may be hired at the Applications Engineer I, Applications Engineer II, or Senior Applications Engineer level, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications & Skills
