Job summary

Methods Machine Tools, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to cover the Mid-Atlantic region, reporting to the Applications Manager in Charlotte, NC.

This role focuses on supporting the application, setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines, with travel as needed. The ideal candidate will have deep CNC programming knowledge (G-code/M-code/FANUC), strong machining process understanding, and the ability to train customers while solving complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience with CNC machine operation, programming, and applications in manufacturing or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support to CNC customers on-site and remotely.
• Assist in CNC machine setup and configuration for optimal performance.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs and hardware/software issues.
• Train customers on CNC operation, programming, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain documentation for procedures and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate new CNC systems and provide feedback to engineering.
• Collaborate with sales to tailor CNC solutions to customer needs.
• Stay current with CNC technology to improve efficiency.
