Job summary

Xylem in Holland, Michigan is seeking an Application Engineer to support growth in water and wastewater treatment. You will develop technical proposals, pricing, and bid materials while serving as a technical advisor to engineers, contractors, municipalities, and internal teams.

Collaborate across project management, engineering, manufacturing, and service to ensure successful project execution; stay current on treatment technologies and CRM tools like Salesforce and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years in water/wastewater treatment or related field.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bid documents.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical proposals, cost estimates, and equipment pricing.
• Support bid submissions with technical documentation, specifications, pricing, and bid materials.
• Serve as a technical advisor to consulting engineers, contractors, municipalities, end users, and sales representatives.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support the transition of awarded projects to project management and engineering teams.
• Respond to customer inquiries with timely technical guidance throughout the sales process.
• Utilize engineering and sales tools including CRM systems, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and proprietary treatment selection software.
