Job summary

Xylem seeks an Application Engineer III to deliver complex wastewater and process water solutions across diverse markets. The role requires collaboration with sales and engineering teams to translate customer needs into robust process designs and proposals.

You will develop PFDs/P&IDs, perform mass and water balances, conduct hydraulic calculations, and size pumps, contributing to bid decisions and customer presentations.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in chemical/process engineering.
• Ability to conduct water quality projections and perform design calculations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and technical specifications to define project scope.
• Perform process design calculations and develop PFDs and P&IDs.
• Prepare mass and water balances and perform hydraulic calculations.
• Select equipment and materials, identify risks, and support bid decisions.
• Present technical solutions to customers and mentor junior engineers.
