Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking an Application Engineer to act as the technical engine between customers and our commercial teams, shaping precise ITO life-cycle proposals and aligning customer needs with GE Vernova standards. You will architect solutions, optimize configurations, and deliver high-accuracy proposals to accelerate project outcomes, including specialized support for EPC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or related field.
• 3–5+ years in Application/Sales Engineering or Field Service.
• Up to 25% travel based on business needs.
• Interpret technical drawings, data sheets, and HV specs.
• Excellent communication to non-technical stakeholders.
• Substation construction experience with eBOP equipment.
• Strong knowledge of ITO/OTR workflows in power services.
• Experience in large-scale turnkey EPC/EPCI proposals and civil works.
• Knowledge of HV/EHV substation design and site prep.
• Proven construction, testing, and commissioning background.
• Proficient in designing T&D equipment and protection devices.
• Passion to Win: develop technical strategies to improve hit rates.

Responsibilities

• Technical Proposal Development: translate inquiries into high-quality proposals and scopes.
• ITO Process Optimization: streamline RFQ processes per GE Vernova standards.
• Solution Engineering: assess site requirements and legacy data for optimal services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate cost estimates and lead times pre-submission.
• Risk Mitigation: early technical risk assessments for design/service challenges.
• Tooling & Standards: maintain libraries, costing models, and configuration tools.
• Develop strategic spare parts for projects, including SAP-based parts management.
