Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Technical Application Engineer to lead technical efforts across pre-sales and post-sales activities for Industrial Communications products. You will collaborate with Sales, customers, and channels to develop strategies, define work scopes, and prepare cost estimates for total project offerings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in a technical engineering role, with travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or equivalent years of experience).
• Minimum of 3 years in a Technical Engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales, channels and customers on pre-sales and post-sales technical efforts on Industrial Communications products (MDS and Lentronics).
• Develop and execute technical sales strategies relevant to market opportunities.
• Communicate customer requirements to Sales Manager for designs and quotations.
• Communicate order fulfillment requirements to sourcing and operations teams.
• Direct management of customers with clear internal and external communication.
• Document competitors’ activities and assess potential market moves.
• Review and influence customer specifications for equipment and service quotations.
• Engage with other Communications Sales Application Engineers and Sales Managers.
• Make technical presentations to all levels of the customer’s organization.
