Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking an Application Engineer for Bearing Products to assess applications and propose solutions in collaboration with the sales team. You will leverage technical training to present recommendations and support customers with drawings and models, including 2D/3D work and product selections.

Preferred location is Charlotte, NC, but remote work is possible. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, familiarity with bearings and power transmission, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required, BSME preferred.
• Mechanical engineering experience required.
• Experience with bearings and mechanical power transmission products.
• Proficiency in 2D drawing software and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ability to perform engineering calculations (moment analysis on 2D systems, thermal expansion, bearing life).
• GD&T implementation experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product engineers on specifications and product development.
• Perform basic engineering calculations as requested by customers or engineering.”
• Consult with customers via phone or email to assist with product selection and provide technical training.
• Create drawings, models, and customize products to support the engineering team.
• Discuss projects with customers to determine needs and support the sales team.
• Demonstrate and train customers on bearing and power transmission basics, onsite or virtually.
• Assist in quoting special projects and modified standard units.
