Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking an Applications/Design Engineer III to join the engineering team in support of new and existing bearing products. You will work with customers, sales and manufacturing to deliver optimized designs and robust solutions, including design validation, testing, and documentation.

The role emphasizes GD&T, FEA, and cross-functional collaboration to meet quality and schedule goals while driving continuous improvement and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience, or Associate degree with 8+ years.
• Experience in component design layout, modeling, detailing and analysis.
• US Person required; punctual attendance is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test bearing products in collaboration with customers and sales.
• Lead design reviews and ensure GD&T compliance and engineering rigor.
• Perform stress/FEA analyses and translate requirements into robust designs.
• Develop test plans, qualification programs and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and quality objectives.
