Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to join our team. This person will partner with our Appian product teams and potentially engage customers to generate requirements specific to Appian applications.

Responsibilities include conducting discovery workshops, modeling data and processes, writing user stories with acceptance criteria, and collaborating with product managers and architects to refine the backlog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams and engage customers to generate requirements for Appian applications.
• Define MVPs and release plans with Product Development Managers.
• Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering, and design BPM models.
• Conduct discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to collect and document solution requirements.
• Collaborate with architecture and PM teams to define new/enhanced product requirements and functionality.
• Support prioritization of features within the product roadmap.
• Draft and maintain user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for development and QA.
• Collaborate to prepare sprint plans and refine backlog requirements.
• Identify risks and suggest process improvements.
• Model complex data based on customer application requirements.
• Utilize TFS, Jira and Github for project management.
