SailPoint’s Cybersecurity organization seeks a Security Software Engineer to build custom security tools and middleware, integrating diverse security stacks. You will bridge API-first integrations, enabling automated enforcement and telemetry sharing across security domains.

Join a collaborative team spanning Security Operations, IT, and Engineering to deliver innovative, secure solutions while adhering to SSDLC and compliance standards. This role is remote or based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software engineering, security automation, or DevOps experience.
• Full-stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Strong proficiency in API-focused languages (Python, Go, or Node.js).
• Hands-on with APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, and integration layers.
• Cloud hosting (AWS), serverless (Lambda) or containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of IAM, Zero Trust, and Endpoint/MAM/MDM concepts.
• CI/CD release automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform).
• Collaborative, agile mindset with strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable security tools, middleware, and automation scripts.
• Utilize REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks to enable data flows across security stack.
• Identify gaps in vendor capabilities and build custom software to close them.
• Develop intuitive UIs and dashboards for internal security tools.
• Support automated deployment pipelines for security controls and SOAR workflows.
• Translate security policies into automated, code-driven solutions.
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance (SSDLC, ISO, NIST, SOX).
