Job summary

SailPoint’s Cybersecurity organization is seeking a Security Software Engineer to build and integrate custom security tools and middleware. You’ll bridge security stacks with REST/GraphQL/Webhooks, drive automated enforcement, and contribute to SailPoint’s security program from a remote or Austin-based role.

You’ll work with Identity/Entra ID, EDR, SIEM, and SaaS apps, leveraging Python/Go/Node.js, AWS, and CI/CD tooling while aligning with IAM, Zero Trust, and MDM concepts in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of software engineering, security automation, or DevOps experience.
• Experience building internal tools or integrations.
• Web frontend experience with React, Vue, or Angular.
• APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, and integration layers.
• Cloud hosting (AWS), serverless (Lambda) or containerization.
• IAM, Zero Trust, and MAM/MDM familiarity.
• CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborative, agile team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust security tools, middleware, and automation scripts.
• Create REST, GraphQL, and Webhook data flows across the security stack.
• Build custom software to close gaps in vendor capabilities.
• Develop intuitive UIs and dashboards for Security Operations.
• Support automated deployment pipelines for security controls and SOAR playbooks.
• Translate security requirements into automated, code-driven solutions.
• Ensure development follows SSDLC and security/compliance standards (ISO, NIST, SOX).
