Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineer obsessed with breaking through anti-bot systems. You will research and implement evasion techniques, reverse engineer protection methods, and work with browser fingerprinting and TLS/protocol fingerprinting at scale. Fully remote, impactful work for Fortune 500‑level data delivery.

Leverage Playwright, Puppeteer, and browser internals, with tools like Wireshark and Burp Suite. If you love deep technical challenges and writing, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium internals.
• Understanding of browser fingerprinting techniques and spoofing methods.
• Experience bypassing at least one major anti-bot system (Cloudflare, Akamai, DataDome, PerimeterX).
• Network traffic analysis with tools like Wireshark, Burp Suite, mitmproxy.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• BSc or higher in CS or equivalent technical field.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement anti-bot evasion techniques.
• Reverse engineer bot detection systems and bypass them.
• Work with browser fingerprinting: canvas, WebGL, fonts, and navigator properties.
• Debug TLS and protocol fingerprinting and push the frontier where needed.
• Optimize Playwright/Puppeteer configurations for stealth.
• Analyze network traffic to understand detection mechanisms.
• Build internal tools for testing and validating evasion techniques.
• Stay ahead of the latest bot detection developments.
• Document findings and share knowledge with the team.
