Job summary

SearchApi in the United States is seeking an Anti-Bot Engineer obsessed with breaking through anti-bot systems. You'll tackle fingerprinting, TLS handshakes, and headless browser detection to advance evasion techniques.

Join a lean, bootstrapped team delivering real products; you’ll script tooling with Playwright, Puppeteer, Ruby, Node.js, or Python and analyze network behavior to defeat modern protections.

Qualifications

• Experience breaking or bypassing anti-bot protections.
• Strong understanding of fingerprinting techniques and TLS handshakes.
• Proven ability to analyze browser behavior and evasion strategies.
• Experience with Playwright/Puppeteer in a testing or tooling context.
• Knowledge of network analysis and security tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement anti-bot evasion techniques.
• Reverse engineer bot detection systems and bypass them.
• Work with browser fingerprinting: canvas, WebGL, fonts, navigator properties.
• Debug TLS and protocol fingerprinting (JA3, JA4, HTTP/2/3, QUIC).
• Optimize Playwright/Puppeteer configurations for stealth.
• Analyze network traffic to understand detection mechanisms.
• Build internal tools for testing and validating evasion techniques.
• Stay ahead of the latest bot-detection developments.
• Document findings and share knowledge with the team.
• You define the work based on what’s broken or detected; drive the initiative.
