Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a browser engineer to patch Chromium and Firefox at the C++ source level, maintaining an in‑house patched‑browser cloud and owning fingerprint surfaces for stealth automation.

You will work on the engine, improve evasion patches, and ensure our cloud remains indistinguishable from a real user. Remote role with equity, profit sharing, and opportunities to tackle hard problems in web automation.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ with the ability to read and modify large codebases.
• Understanding browser internals and fingerprinting techniques.
• Experience patching engine or stealth tooling at source level.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the browser stack in-house patches and fingerprint profiles.
• Patch engine internals to make spoofed values appear native.
• Eliminate CDP leaks and ensure reliable control flows.
• Align geolocation, timezone, and locale across the stack.
• Investigate detections and fix root causes in engine code.
• Build tests and harnesses to validate evasions.
