Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an Angular/NodeJS Developer to join a remote team supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The role centers on building a cloud-based dashboard, RESTful APIs in Java/NodeJS, and integrating with AWS data services for healthcare EDI data.

You will collaborate with back-end C#/.Net engineers, contribute to API design, and ensure data accuracy and performance in a distributed, DevOps-inspired environment. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS).
• 8+ years designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Angular experience and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard processing healthcare EDI transactions.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI data.
• Collaborate with AWS data engineers; ensure reliable data delivery across services.
• Support Angular-based frontend and ensure accurate data surfaced to users.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Perform unit and integration testing across backend services and API layers.
