Job summary

U.S. Anesthesia Partners is seeking a remote day-shift anesthesia coder to extract data from anesthesia records into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, with potential work on Medaxion and PC7 across multiple facility EMRs.

The role requires 2+ years of complex surgical CPT and ICD10 coding, anesthesia coding preferred, and CMS guidelines familiarity. A CPC is required; CANPC is a plus. Note: residents in CA, HI, or AK are not considered.

Qualifications

• . 2+ years of experience in surgical coding minimum, anesthesia a plus.
• Current CPC certification is required; CANPC is a plus.
• Experience with multiple EMRs and documentation types including handwritten and electronic records.
• Basic experience with charge capture platforms.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF; good Outlook skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review anesthesia documentation for required elements and signatures.
• Abstract and code surgical procedures from CPT and crosswalk to ASA.
• Understand modifiers and ICD10 coding guidelines.
• Abstract anesthesia times and identify care team providers.
• Review for medical direction and ensure compliance with policies.
• Meet KPIs for daily production and coding audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain HIPAA compliance.
