Job description

Overview

This is a day shift position working remotely. Coders abstract data from the anesthesia record into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, and may also work with other charge capture platforms, including Medaxion, PC7, as well as multiple facility EMR’s based on assigned location.

Medical records are abstracted for CPT codes and cross walked into the appropriate ASA code; therefore, this position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience with complex surgical CPT and ICD10, with one year of anesthesia coding strongly preferred. Experience coding for physicians, CRNA, CAA, NP, SRNA, and residents required. NCCI bundling, familiarity with LCD/NCD, and experience with CMS guidelines for coding required. The ability to review and determine start and end times, care team, and medical direction is required for this position. The ability to follow pre-established departmental playbooks and pathways is required.

At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

The base pay estimate for this role is $18.17 - $29.04 hourly. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for a quarterly bonus.
