Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assigns diagnosis and procedure codes to professional billing encounters based on documentation and guidelines.
• Codes moderately complex cases with multiple diagnoses or complex documentation.
• Reviews work queues, identifies coding issues, and resolves routine discrepancies.
• Collaborates with providers to clarify documentation and improve coding quality.
• Ensures compliance with coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Focus on CPT coding, ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, HCPCS coding, E/M leveling, and physician documentation review.
