United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Android Engineer for the Mobile team to build and maintain the native Android app, ensure feature parity across clients, and deliver secure, performant software.

This is an all-remote position for candidates located in the United States. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and shaping the Android roadmap while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven Android apps developed with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience setting standards and driving adoption across teams.
• Unit/UI/snapshot testing experience and testing standards.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical talent.
• Ability to align multiple teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on our Android codebase, setting direction and standards.
• Lead multi-sprint initiatives with impact across teams.
• Own complex Android problems, define solutions and evaluate trade-offs.
• Uphold engineering standards through reviews and mentorship.
• Drive architecture decisions and collaborate with the Architecture team.
• Unblock the team, mentor engineers, and grow technical capability.
• Shape Android vision and roadmap with PM and design.
• Identify risks and break large initiatives into phases.
• Participate in hiring and technical interviews.
• Stay updated on trends and champion improvements.
