Job summary

Sporty is seeking an Android Engineer to own our existing Android applications, implement new features, build new UI pages, test, and release into new regions as we grow globally. You’ll collaborate with a globally distributed team to deliver strong, performance-focused experiences across devices.

The stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Jenkins, Glide, Git, ExoPlayer and MVVM. 3+ years of Android Kotlin/Java experience, architecture work, networking and memory management are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing clean Kotlin/Java for Android applications.
• Experience building mobile app architecture, including data modelling, networking and data synchronization and concurrency.
• English-speaking environment; strong communication across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and responsibility of existing Android applications.
• Release new versions of apps in several new regions.
• Build new end-to-end features on our platforms.
• Create new UIs to support major sporting events.
