Job summary

GlobalLogic in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Android software engineer to build consumer mobile apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android frameworks. You will work on apps with location and map features and REST-based services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow SOLID, MVVM/MVI patterns, and write clean, testable code to ensure performance and quality. The role offers competitive pay and benefits and exposure to global projects.

• Develop solutions to address complex problems.
• Ability to share technical solutions and product ideas with the broader team through design review, code review, and show and tell
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Experience with Platform APIs to control OS/Device, custom launchers
• Experience with Android Management API, Device Policy Manager, Profile management, etc.
• Expert knowledge of Kotlin, modern Jetpack libraries, system-level Android permissions, and custom AOSP builds or privileged system app development.
• Develop applications for the Android platform
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality
