Job summary

Blue Rose Research is seeking a Data Scientist focused on analytics to work at the intersection of modeling and analysis, turning outputs into actionable insights for clients. You will build analytics pipelines, develop rapid reporting on public opinion and voter behavior, and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders in a remote setting.

Ideal candidates have strong SQL and R (or Python) skills, experience with data visualization, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and ML

Qualifications

• Experience pulling insights from data and storytelling.
• Ability to build clear data visualizations for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong communication skills in a remote setting.
• Experience with regression analysis and statistical concepts.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, ML data scientists, statisticians.

Responsibilities

• Help build analytics pipelines to produce automated reporting on public opinion and voter behavior.
• Build data visualizations in R to communicate modeled results to non-technical audiences.
• Analyze data using regressions and other statistical concepts to answer client questions.
• Scope new research instruments, field them, monitor returns, and craft guidance.
• Deliver actionable guidance to internal stakeholders to explain model outputs.
• Think critically about data to discern trends and flag potential data issues for the team.
• Provide product feedback on existing infrastructure to engineers and ML data scientists.
• Contribute ideas to improve data analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings.
