Job summary

Pearson Virtual Schools is seeking a qualified ASL teacher to deliver American Sign Language instruction from a home office in the United States. You will manage online instructional programs, provide feedback, and collaborate with students and fellow teachers to support achievement.

The role requires a valid state teaching certificate and a Bachelor's degree, with the ability to obtain additional state certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• State teaching certificate valid in IN (preferred) with ability to teach ASL.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience teaching ASL in a virtual environment desired.
• Ability to obtain certification in other states as needed.
• Responsive feedback to students and grading within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ASL instruction through virtual sessions and asynchronous activities.
• Provide timely, personalized feedback on assignments.
• Coordinate with students and families to monitor progress.
• Support IEP/504 accommodations within a remote setting.
• Maintain student records and communicate regularly via approved channels.
