Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Analyst - Ambulatory Access to provide analytic, operational, and system‑level support for enterprise scheduling initiatives to maximize patient access and streamline outpatient workflows.

Under the Director of Access Optimization, you will manage scheduling systems, workplans, and data analytics to drive efficiency, revenue cycle alignment, and patient satisfaction across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, analytics, or related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in ambulatory access, patient access, healthcare operations, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Project & Program Management: develops, updates, and monitors complex project workplans, milestone tracking sheets, risk logs, and leadership status reports.
• Provider Capacity & Template Optimization: audits scheduling structures in the EHR, executes change requests, monitors utilization daily.
• Scheduling, Referral Systems & Analytics: analyzes referral work queues, extracts access performance metrics, coordinates data-cleansing with departments.
• Implementation & Sustainment Support: coordinates post-implementation workflow reviews and system adjustments during optimization cycles.
• Epic & Cross-Functional Collaboration: conducts system testing, documents user workflows, coordinates updates with finance to align with revenue cycle guidelines.
