Job summary

Pinellas County’s Environmental Management Division, Air Quality Division, is seeking an Air Quality Enforcement Coordinator (Environmental Specialist 3) in Clearwater, FL. The role focuses on processing enforcement cases and inspections of both permitted and unpermitted facilities under federal and state air quality rules.

Ideal candidates have extensive air quality experience, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to lead staff and develop SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental regulation, especially air quality.
• Education options include 4-year degree with related major or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of Federal/State air regulations and local rules is desirable.
• Strong data analysis and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversees activities and resources of compliance section to meet inspection requirements.
• Collaborates with FDEP and other agencies to ensure compliance.
• Provides technical data summaries and literature research as needed.
• Conducts training and peer review of junior staff.
• Develops and revises SOPs and related documentation.
• Performs related work as assigned.
