Job summary

City of Clearwater is seeking a Code Compliance Supervisor to supervise code enforcement operations in the city. The role provides guidance to inspectors, coordinates field investigations, and ensures timely handling of complaints and enforcement actions.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree plus several years of regulatory enforcement experience, plus supervisory skills and knowledge of local codes and state statutes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance and enforcement, law enforcement, or a related field.
• 1 year of lead worker or supervisory experience; equivalent education/training considered.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the daily activities of the Code Compliance Inspectors.
• Prioritizes and schedules work assignments; provides performance feedback and conducts interviews.
• Provides excellent customer service and responds to citizen complaints in a timely, professional manner.
• Provides technical advice on investigations and enforcement of codes and ordinances.
• Performs field inspections and maintains technical records and reports.
