DataAnnotation is seeking a Data Scientist - AI Trainer to support AI training by assessing quantitative model outputs, building benchmarking problems, and providing feedback to improve AI reasoning on data and scientific questions. This contract role offers flexible scheduling and hourly pay of $50 to $100 USD.

You will evaluate outputs for accuracy, develop training tasks, and help shape models through documented, reproducible analytics. Strong coding and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a quantitative role or research environment.
• Coding experience; comfortable writing and reviewing analytical code end-to-end.
• Experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and experimental design (A/B testing, hypothesis testing).
• Fluency in English with strong writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated quantitative work for technical accuracy and real-world validity.
• Develop quantitative problems to train and benchmark AI systems across forecasting, analysis, optimization, and inference.
• Produce clear analytical explanations and maintain well-documented code.
• Provide feedback to inform iterative updates to AI models for quantitative reasoning and data analytics.
