Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients on AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will advise, design, and implement cloud-native architectures, APIs, and enterprise integrations across industries, with a focus on AI copilots and RAG workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering or solution architecture experience.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience developing cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud including APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Understanding of software architecture and enterprise integrations.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives and translate requirements into scalable architectures.
• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution envisioning sessions.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Build and implement Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG solutions, including AI copilots and intelligent workflows.
• Own technical delivery across client-facing initiatives, driving production readiness and adoption.
