Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a skilled penetration tester to probe AI-powered applications and infrastructure. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers flexible scheduling and 10–40 hours per week, with opportunities to work across AI security testing projects.

You will conduct tests, identify vulnerabilities in AI/ML pipelines, and report findings with actionable remediation guidance. The role requires strong offensive security knowledge and independent, reliable work habits.

Qualifications

• Experience with penetration testing principles and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of web, network, and API security testing.
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests against AI-powered apps, APIs, and infrastructure to uncover vulnerabilities.
• Identify weaknesses in AI/ML pipelines, including prompt injection, model manipulation, data poisoning, and auth flaws.
• Perform web app, network, and API security assessments using standard tools and methodologies.
• Simulate real-world attack scenarios from recon to exploitation and post-exploitation.
• Document findings with severity ratings, evidence, and remediation guidance.
• Evaluate AI-specific attack surfaces including adversarial inputs and data exfiltration risks.
• Stay current with emerging AI security threats and improve testing methodologies.
• Work independently on task-based engagements on your own schedule.
