Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media. You will roleplay live conversations with AI voice models, score exchanges, and compare outputs to determine which follows prompts better. You’ll explain in writing what sounded off, all remotely and on your own schedule.

As part of Outlier’s evaluation loop, your feedback helps shape how advanced AI systems reason and learn, turning frontier research into real-world improved performance.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and explaining scenarios in natural conversations.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make a clear decision when both options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Holding live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models and ranking naturalness and usefulness.
• Comparing AI-generated images and videos and judging adherence to prompts.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot issues like distorted anatomy, flickering, or misaligned audio and video.
• Writing specific explanations in English pointing to observed issues.
