Job summary

Makai Labs, LLC. is seeking a project manager to own delivery of enterprise AI automation projects from planning through rollout. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, product, and client stakeholders to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

The role emphasizes post-meeting execution with clear ownership and follow-through. You will lead multiple client and platform projects, maintain risk logs, run client meetings, and ensure handoffs to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in software or technology projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including presenting status to executives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Urgency and accountability in project execution.
• Experience with SaaS, AI, or ML projects or technical implementations.
• Professional services or consulting delivery experience, including managing SOWs and change orders.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services.
• Experience using AI tools in day-to-day project management work.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and completion of key client and platform projects.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones as priorities change.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Maintain risk and issue logs, flag risks early with proposed mitigations.
• Run client and internal check-ins with clear owners, due dates, and next steps.
• Coordinate rollout and user adoption, including handoff to production support.
• Track budget against the SOW and manage scope changes.
• Identify process improvements and implement AI-assisted task automation.
