Ladders is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead AI-native software product development and guide multiple engineering pods toward timely delivery.

You will balance hands-on technical depth with people leadership, aligning architecture and security with business goals while mentoring engineers and promoting AI adoption. Remote work within the US is offered with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing multiple engineering teams delivering complex projects.
• Hands-on AI-native development experience with agentic systems and LLM integrations.
• Experience coordinating cross-team dependencies in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean practices and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of AI-native software products from scratch.
• Manage four AI pods, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Oversee interdependencies among pods to avoid bottlenecks.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalability and security.
• Mentor engineering staff and promote AI adoption across teams.
