Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an AI-forward engineer to sit with program teams, map workflows, and translate insights into reliable AI agents that automate processes. You will embed with Defense Disruption Cell teams to convert flow-chart work into agents, ensuring they are observable, auditable, and production-ready.

The role emphasizes building scalable AI solutions, training staff, and creating reusable patterns and playbooks for future programs.

Qualifications

5+ years in software/ML engineering or solutions engineering.
2+ years building apps with generative and agentic AI.
Experience deploying an LLM-powered system or AI agent into production.
Production code in Python or TypeScript.
Experience eliciting requirements from customers and guiding adoption of new tech.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Observe and document how work actually happens with program teams.
Design and deploy AI agents that reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources.
Develop evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, and regression tests for reliable behavior.
Instrument systems with audit trails, monitoring, and metrics for leadership.
Drive adoption and change management, training in automation supervision.
Codify learnings into playbooks and reusable components for reuse.
