Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking an AI Project Attorney to support adoption and integration of artificial intelligence across the firm. This role reports to the Director of AI Innovation and collaborates across offices and practice groups to advance AI-driven legal delivery.

The attorney will develop AI workflows, train lawyers, and promote best practices while staying current with AI market changes. Occasional travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited US law school and admission to practice in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years of attorney experience in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Strong technical skills with familiarity of generative AI, LLMs, and ML in the practice of law.
• Experience building generative AI workflows, use cases, and prompts for the practice.
• Experience driving and supporting adoption of legal technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communications for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with managing workflows, documents, and communications.
• Analytical, project management, prioritization, and organization skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently with good judgment and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborative team player capable of working across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement generative AI workflows and prompts for legal practice.
• Create use-case materials for different practice areas and stages of matters.
• Expand libraries of prompts and workflows and drive lawyer adoption.
• Collaborate with practice groups on AI adoption and utilization.
