Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers in the Boston area to design, build, and optimize the server-side systems and APIs that power AI products, including data pipelines and scalable microservices for real-world traffic.

This is a fully remote, hourly contract role with 10–40 hours per week. You will collaborate with distributed teams to deliver robust backend infrastructure for AI training and inference workloads.

Qualifications

• Back-end language proficiency across Python/Go/Java/Node.js/Rust.
• Strong RESTful API and microservices understanding.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud platforms and containerization basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI workloads.
• Write well-documented, testable code following best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and external APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
