Job summary

AlphaGov in the public-sector consulting space seeks an AI Governance / Responsible AI Specialist to develop practical AI-use and governance policy for public agencies and utilities. This is a remote-first, project-based role with travel as needed.

You will draft policies, set guardrails, create risk templates, and advise on adoption roadmaps that balance innovation with public trust. Engagements are contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI governance, responsible AI, or AI data governance.
• Ability to translate frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF) into agency policy.
• Willingness to work as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel for on-sites.

Responsibilities

• Draft AI use and governance policies for public agencies and utilities.
• Define guardrails for risk tiers, oversight, privacy, transparency, and documentation.
• Create model-risk and data-handling assessment templates and docs.
• Advise on adoption roadmaps balancing innovation with public trust.
• Contribute governance qualifications and past-performance narratives to proposals when allowed.
