Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI to work directly with clients, transforming complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You will prototype, deploy, and scale GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications, collaborating across business and technical teams.

You will build end-to-end AI systems, design LLM-powered agents with orchestration, and integrate AI with enterprise data and APIs, applying MLOps and responsible AI practices for production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering, delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on GenAI and agentic AI apps.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and multi-step workflows.
• Experience designing agentic AI workflows and tool use/orchestration.
• Experience with ML/data processing tools (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Pandas, Spark).
• Experience deploying AI solutions via APIs and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science; strong client-facing skills.
