Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI to partner with clients and turn complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You will combine software engineering, data science, GenAI, and agentic AI to rapidly prototype, deploy, and scale impactful capabilities.

Work spans from defining AI use cases and building end-to-end GenAI and RAG applications to designing LLM-powered agents and integrating AI with enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on GenAI and agentic AI applications.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Elasticsearch, pgvector, Pinecone).
• Experience designing agentic AI workflows using LangChain/LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen.
• Experience with ML/data processing tools (scikit-learn, PyTorch, Pandas, Spark).
• Experience with REST/FastAPI, cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI), and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
