Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI to work directly with clients, translating complex business challenges into production‑ready AI solutions. Combine software engineering, data science, GenAI, agentic AI, and advanced analytics to rapidly prototype, deploy, and scale impactful AI applications.

You will design LLM-powered agents, enable tool use and orchestration, and ensure safety, observability, and reliability across production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering, delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on GenAI and agentic AI apps using LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Experience with large language models, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Elasticsearch, pgvector, Pinecone).
• Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms and with APIs (REST/FastAPI).

Responsibilities

• Solve client challenges by identifying AI use cases and success metrics.
• Build end-to-end GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI apps using LangGraph, CrewAI, and cloud platforms.
• Design and implement LLM-powered agents, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
• Prepare structured/unstructured data and integrate AI with enterprise systems.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps, testing, monitoring, and responsible AI practices for production readiness.
• Present insights and drive client adoption of AI solutions.
