Job summary

Toptal, a global fully remote company, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-velocity team building AI-enabled software. You will work with Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, and Executives to deliver high-quality products and help shape a new AI platform that impacts revenue.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, deep technical depth in Next.js, Node/NestJS, React, and Supabase, and fluency in AI-assisted development workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack experience across back-end, front-end, and databases.
• Solid OO programming, PostgreSQL/Supabase, clean code and tests.
• 2+ years leading an Engineering team.
• Track record delivering products as engineer and manager.
• Experience managing small autonomous teams.
• Ability to balance implementation time with performance and security.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Redis, Kafka is a plus.
• Experience designing AI agents and AI-first architecture is a plus.
• Cloud-native infra on GCP or AWS is a plus.
• Strong code review skills.
