Job summary

Commerce is seeking an AI-first Data Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise Data team, shaping the Snowflake and Airflow platform. You will guide pipeline development, governance, and AI‑powered data products while mentoring engineers across time zones.

You’ll partner with Analytics, Data Science, and Product to translate data needs into reliable, scalable data products and ensure cost efficiency and quality across the data estate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering with leadership experience.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and Airflow in production environments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, able to review or write pipeline code.
• Experience with modern ELT tooling (dbt, Fivetran/Airbyte).
• Familiar with AI coding assistants and agentic tools in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a data engineering team from onboarding to performance reviews.
• Own the technical roadmap and architecture for Enterprise Data platform (Snowflake + Airflow).
• Embed AI-first workflows by integrating agentic tools into pipeline development and testing.
• Define data quality, observability, and cost governance across Snowflake/Airflow.
