Job summary

Commerce is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise Data team in a hybrid Austin setting. You will own the Snowflake/Airflow platform roadmap and embed AI-first tooling into pipelines, tests, and data products.

You will coach engineers, ensure data quality and governance, and collaborate with analytics, data science, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable data assets at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering with 3+ years in leadership.
• Hands-on production experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with modern ELT tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a data engineering team (hiring, onboarding, performance).
• Own the technical roadmap and architecture for the Enterprise Data platform (Snowflake, Airflow).
• Embed AI-first practices and agentic tools into pipeline development and QA.
• Drive data quality, observability, and cost-efficiency across the stack.
• Collaborate with analytics, data science, product, and business stakeholders.
