Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking an AI Architect to design AI-native architectures, including orchestration, retrieval, and integration with enterprise systems. You will define guardrails, evaluations, and the boundaries of autonomy, while collaborating with delivery teams and presales to shape client proposals.

You will prototype as needed, document decisions, and mentor teams in AI-native design, ensuring alignment with business scope and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• You have architected AI-native systems in production with real users or business processes behind them and held architect-level responsibility.
• You are a proven solution/software/enterprise architect with delivery accountability and AI experience in the last year.
• Strong experience in distributed systems, cloud, and data-flow architecture at enterprise scale.
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and make explicit trade-offs.
• Experience presenting options, costs, and risks to non-technical decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for AI-native solutions including orchestration, retrieval, and integration with systems of record.
• Explain trade-offs and decisions to stakeholders, and define where humans stay in the loop.
• Produce architecture decisions, documents, and reference architectures for reuse.
• Work with EPAM delivery teams and presales to shape proposals and review designs.
• Build proofs of concept and reference implementations when evidence is needed.
