Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking an AI Architect to design target architectures for AI-native applications, focusing on enterprise-scale AI across industries. You will decide system scope, define guardrails, and craft evaluation criteria while coordinating with engineers and client teams.

You will prototype when evidence is needed and work to ensure architectural decisions align with business goals, with emphasis on governance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Architected AI-native systems in production (RAG/agents/agentic workflows).
• Proven solution/software/enterprise architect with delivery accountability.
• Hands-on coding ability to prototype and verify constraints.
• Experience presenting options, costs and risks to non-technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI-native architectures: orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, agent autonomy, guardrails, identity, evaluation, observability, and cost.
• Quantify trade-offs (build vs buy, model choice, retrieval, autonomy, cost vs quality) for stakeholders.
• Define evaluation strategies to ensure business fit beyond fluent output.
• Document architecture decisions and drive accountable ownership.
