Job summary

NUWAVE is seeking an AI Engineer for a full-time, U.S.-remote role to build and operate Nebula, NUWAVE's governed conversational AI workspace. You will work with a GraphRAG knowledge engine, business apps, and agent workflows across the web and Microsoft Teams.

This hands-on engineer will turn Jira issues into production changes, review AI coding agents, and own system design, testing, deployment discipline, and observability across AWS and Azure.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with Python fluency.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor.
• Demonstrated ownership from goal to verified delivery.
• Clear Git, testing, deployment discipline and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain AI applications and cloud services for Nebula.
• Translate Jira issues into scoped technical changes with acceptance criteria.
• Use AI coding agents, review output for correctness and security.
• Develop Python services and contribute to TypeScript apps as needed.
• Operate workloads on AWS and Azure, incl. serverless, containers, identity.
• Work with GraphRAG, vector search, graph databases, agent workflows.
• Write infrastructure as code and follow version control practices.
• Verify changes with automated tests, logs, metrics, and checks.
• Document designs and operational procedures for team clarity.
• Participate in production support and after-hours as required.
