AXIA Environmental is seeking an experienced AI Engineer & Internal Applications Developer to build internal tools and AI systems that help our technical teams work more efficiently, improve operations, and win new business. This hands-on role covers designing, deploying, and maintaining production AI services and transforming them into practical applications employees use every day.

You will own projects from initial requirements through deployment and ongoing support, working directly with

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience building production AI/ML systems.
• Strong Python and hands-on LLM/RAG experience.
• Experience with AWS or major cloud platforms.
• Backend development with REST APIs and databases.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Design, evaluate, deploy, and maintain self-hosted AI models for internal business applications.
• Build RAG pipelines with document parsing, chunking, vector search, and citations.
• Develop evaluation methods for model accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor deployed AI systems for performance, quality, cost, and failures.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and data pipelines.
• Gather requirements and build practical, user-friendly applications.
