Job summary

Health Catalyst is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for AI enablement. Remote from anywhere in the US. You will help teams adopt responsible AI, evaluate architectures, and guide AI tooling and governance. The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and collaboration with product, security, and data science teams.

Ideal candidates have production AI experience, familiarity with LLM tooling, and strong SRE foundations to support AI-powered services across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience solutioning and implementing AI systems in production.
• Hands-on with at least one agentic or RAG framework and LLM API integrations.
• Strong SRE or platform engineering background with observability focus.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• AI Workflow Enablement: train engineers to integrate AI into development workflows.
• Architecture Review: assess AI system designs for reliability and governance.
• AI Governance Guidance: apply policies on model access and data handling.
• Solutioning & Implementation Support: guide AI project design and implementation.
• Reliability Advising: provide observability and SRE insights for AI services.
• Tooling & Standards: contribute to internal AI architecture patterns.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with PMs, data science, security and compliance.
• Documentation: document AI patterns and governance decisions.
• Continuous Learning: stay current on AI safety and SRE practices.
