Job summary

EPAM Systems Georgia is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability across cloud-based platforms. You will partner with software and operations teams to automate infrastructure, define SLOs, manage error budgets, and reduce toil while adopting GenAI and AI agents for platform improvement.

The role emphasizes collaboration, scalable architectures, and proactive operations, with a flexible remote work option across Georgia and opportunities to work from Tbilisi or Batumi offices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles.
• Experience with any cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with SRE practices: SLO/SLI, error budgets, postmortems, toil reduction, capacity planning, incident management.
• Python or other scripting language.
• Solid background in monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools, IaC, and configuration management.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• English at least B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, security, quality, and operations teams to implement SRE practices and ensure reliability.
• Define and support required levels of reliability, availability, and performance for services and applications.
• Design and deliver cloud-based solutions tailored to client needs.
• Troubleshoot and fix infrastructure and application issues promptly.
• Implement a monitoring system for infrastructure and application reliability.
• Guide adoption of GenAI, AI agents, and AIOps to improve operations.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to engineering teams and management.
